  • 1.  SEP Installation fails

    I'm trying to deploy SEP  to Windows 10 x64 clients (with all latest updates) and the installation fails for some reason. SEP exe installer is still showing return code 1 even that the installation is not successful. 

    I have attached the installation log files from one Windows 10 client.

    I see you're using v12.1.6318.6100 - please download the latest version which incluides fixes for Windows 10 install issue. The latest version is 12.1.6860.6400.

    You can grab a copy from FileConnect.

    Thank you all! This was the issue. I modified Configuration Manager task sequence to install Symantec before Windows Updates and now everything seems to be fine and SEP installs succesfully.

    I would also sugest upgrading to SEP 12.1.6 MP4 for the permanent fix:

    Upgrade or migrate to Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.6 - 12.1.6 MP4
