Hi All,

I will try and be as concise as possible, I have searched the forum for the last hour but could not find a solution.

I am testing Endpoint Protection for Small Business, I have the SEP Manager installed on my XP PC, I have successfully remotley installed SEP Client onto 1 Win7 32Bit PC, 1 Win7 64Bit, . I tried to install on a second Win7 64Bit PC but it fails?

The install seems to go ok and NO error messages appear, the SEP Manager correctly states that there are 4 Endpoints which is correct BUT the SECOND Win7 64Bit PC says the following-

In the CLIENT view in the SEP manager the PC health state is 'Offline'
It says clinet needs a 'RE-START', i have restarted the PC several times but it does not fix the problem
There is no SEP shield icon on th eeffected PC's taskbar
There are no visual warnings or errors on the effected PC

Can anybody suggest a solution, the only difference is the Win7 64Bit that has SEP installed is a Dell laptop and th ePC it wont install on is a Dell tower PC

Have you try on not Install SEP Client on Machine ?

I did have a look to try and find SEP.EXE to MANUALLY install on the client but could not find it anywhere?

Can you manually install?

hi,

have you try 32 bit Client to 64 bit ?

If yes please create 64 bit client and install

hi,

when i did the remote install in the CLIENT DEPLOYMENT WIZARD i selected..

1 - NEW PACKAGE DEPLOYMENT

2 - INSTALL PACKAGE "Windows - SEP version 12.1.1101.401" it says this selection includes 32bit & 64bit

hi,

you can install 64 bit client on 64 bit OS.

In the Installation package under Admin --> tab ( in SEPM) you can find the install package for 32 bit and 64 bit, use this link to create a package and install

Hi,

Please mention which SEP version you are trying to install?

Try to install liveupdate setup first then run setup.exe.

hi guys

it worked, i manually created the 64bit .exe , copied it to the client pc ran it and it installed and updated fine, it also now shows up in the SEP manager.

it is version 12
