    Hi,

We have some Symantec clients that are not existing on the Symantec Server. I have tried the syslink to regain the connection of Symantec client to server but it was unsuccessful. Since the client are not existing on the server there is no way to implement the policies I created on the server. Secondly, the client’s definition file may not update automatically.

    this should retrun ok,

then enable logging and attach the, most the times it will be windows firewall or other blocking the 8014 port

Enable sylink debugging for Endpoint Protection clients

Try using the symhelp tool to see if there any commincation issues

Also if there is a firewall inbetween make sure TCP port 8014 is allowed to communicate both ways from and to the client.

Is there a firewall in between clients/SEPM that needs to have port 8014 opened?

Total how many clients are affected? Is it possible to export a new package to push on those clients?

it license is expired SEPM will stop updating the clients in Ent version and warnings in SMB, client communication has nothing to do with license expiry

Licsense expiry in Enterprise will not stop content updates. It will only provide warnings. This should have nothing to do with your issue.

    Hello,

Kindly request the customer to renew the licenses & as everyone said though license gets expired in EE, it will keep clients updated. It's a soft enforcement policy.

As I said earlier push out new client package & test the connectivity.
