  • 1.  SEP for linux java and jce issue

    Hey guys,

How can I trouble shoot this installation? I'm trying to install SEP on linux, I have the required java and jce already installed but I'm still getting the error about it. This is what I get when I di java -version:

    java version "1.8.0_101"

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_101-b13)

Java Hotspot(TM) 64Bit Server VM (build 25.101-b13, mixed mode)

I'm also sure that the jce files are copied correctly. So I'm not really sure what part am I missing.

    Thank you,

    What error? This one:

"Installation requires Oracle Java 1.5 or later whose owner is superuser. Please install the correct version with superuser and Java Cryptography Extension (JCE). Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files, and try again."

Check the owner and group owner of the java folder? Is it root?
