I was creating an MSI package of the SEP deployment (evaluating the different deployment methods) and the session timed out and I had to log back in. The manager is currently running on something pretty slow spec while trialling so understandable it was taking a while to create.
Where abouts does the Manager place the MSI once created?
hello,
you can choose export location where do you want to export sep package
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/how-do-i-create-and-configure-custom-symantec-endpoint-protection-installation-package-vers
Check the article to increase the session timout time period
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/how-change-default-web-console-time-out-settings-through-sepm
you would have given the location where to save. You can serach for the system for package
Check below location if you find but i have confirm you can choose location (Default location not available)
Temp\Syamntec\Clientpackage
As per attach artical screen shot.
Default path to save the packae is My Documet of that user.
Hi,
I hope you are talking about SEP client package export using Admin --> Install Packages --> Select Package and click on export
If custom location has not choose then it will go under My Documents.
You can also try to search in My computer if it's not under My Documents.
There is no predefined Default path.
It will be saved in where you wanted it to be.
If you dont know where you saved it. Click on Export again. It will always go to the previous location where you saved it :)
I think all wrong guys. This is what I am doing:
So where when creating that MSI does Symantec place it? There is no visible option for a location when configuring.
Hello,
I think you can use Client Deployment Wizard Overview
Check this artical

Hello allister.wade
I have tried to create the package and it reflecting default folder is "My Document" which i have already mention above.
You are mention different step but user require the path of Package creation.
The Default path is "C:\Users\Administrator\Documents", if you see no save the package screen.
However, if you are receiving the path screen, you would not be able to go ahead without inserting the path.
Hope that helps!!
The location was C:\Windows\Temp on the Management Server.
