Hey all.

On Tues this week, five of the servers I manage out of 12 businesses had the SEP Manager service stop unexplained.

Needless to say this caused some serious problems!

On restarting the service all is well and all have held as started.

This has never occured before and, I know the service started on Sunday on these computers because I rebooted them all as part of Microsoft server maintenance and I review services after restarting and the service was started.

So, sometime on Tuesday five of these servers just had the service stop.

This has never occured before and becuase it occured on five systems that are all independent systems - this looks to be an issue with a definition update that went bad perhaps?

Help appreciated.

 

Same here 4 server down with java error. I also monitored erros on mail security for Exchange which are no longer update definitions.

Kindly confirm what windows updates were installed,

If any Java Update was installed

Also check the scm-server logs if you find anything over there.

Could you check if there was any updates which happened just before this event occured??

Could you also check the Application Logs and System Logs in the Event Viewer??
