I have SEPM 12.1.6465.6200 running on Windows Server 2008 R2. I have exported a 64 bit client from SEPM and try to install the client on Windows 10 64 bit.

The installation doesn't give an error. However, I am unable to see SEP installed in Notification area, Program Menu etc. In Program Files (x86) there is Symantec Endpoint Protection folder but it only has two sub-folders in it:

    1) Bin

    2) Scripts

Furthermore in Services there isn't any Symantec Endpoint Protection or Symantec Network Access Control services.

What is wrong here? I know Symantec says SEP is compatiable with Windows 10 but i am having no luck. Is anyone sucessfully using SEP with Windows 10?

You need to get to SEP 12.1.6 MP4 as it fixes a known issue with SEP not installing on Windows 10:

New fixes and component versions in Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.6 MP4

SEP client does not install after applying Microsoft patch KB3140743

    FIX ID: 3919824

Symptom: After applying the Microsoft patch Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3140743), released March 1st, 2016, the Symantec Endpoint Protection client does not install, and then rolls back.

Solution: Fixed the interaction with Windows Defender to ensure that the installer succeeds.
