Yes, you cn install the SEP clients on Windows Server Platforms, but there are some conditions -

Install a package with ONLY the AntiVirus and AntiSpyware feature, since PTP is currently NOT Supported.

In case you wish to install the NTP component alongwith the AntiVirus and AntiSpyware feature, do note that the NTP has an additional function of being a Stateful Firewall. So it'd perform a stateful inspection of each and every data packet that comes across to the server.

My best recommendation would be to go ahead with oly the AntiVirus and AntiSpyware feature set installed.

You can install it. No issues there. But be sure to have ALLOW Rules for the firewall creatd before you push the package out, 'coz the NTP block most common attack vectors - its that good. You may be aware of IP spoofing attacks, so taking a very close look at that, the NTP sometimes blocks seemingly innocuous legitimate DHCP traffic, but because it may be resembling a spoofing attack.

SO in essence, the DHCP DORA process might not complete coz of this.

You can always install the NTP on Servers as well as clients, but it's always better the to have the ALLOW firewall rules in place, instead of being reactive at the end.
