I'm not sure but when i checked  latest roadmap of SEP and the next release of SEP after mp1 will be 12.1 version codename Amber.

But if you have major version problems, you better call support to get fixed versions of SEP.

MP2 will be the next release of SEP 11.

If you look at Release Details for Endpoint Protection and select 11.0 RU6 MP2 in the dropdown, it shows a release date of November 29, 2010.

MP2 has not made GA release as of this moment.

The Release Notes and Readme for Sep 11 RU6 MP2 are already in the Documentation section of the Endpoint Protection section (I printed them out earlier today).

I just looked, SEP RU6 MP2 is now on Fileconnect. But For package products i.e. Symantec Protection Suite, I am not sure if they include MP2 in the list untill Dec 2nd

Edit:  RU6  MP2 is avail for SNAC 11 as well

It might still be in transition, like I said I can see it.... but depending on what product/suite you have it may take longer to show up on FC.

to upgrade our existing x64 W7 clients from RU5 to RU6 MP2 we have been advised the supported method is to install two patches in series:

SEP64_333_RTMTo562_clientMSPMSI.exe (11.0 RU5 to 11.0 RU6a Client-only patch (64Bit))

SEP64_562To754_clientMSPMSI.exe (RU6A to RU6 MP2)

Yes,the upgrade path is supported and will work without glitch.

Is the client now native 64-bit? meaning that it is a fully functional client? Previous versions clients didn't completely work, as noted in  Article: TECH102143.

Currently the following SEP features do not run on 64 bit Windows systems:

-    Device Control
-    Tamper Protection (AKA SymProtect)
-    Right Click “Scan for Viruses…”
-    Lotus Notes (Domino), Microsoft Exchange and POP3/SMTP email scanning
-    System Lockdown
-    Central Quarantine
-    Proactive Threat Protection will not detect poller type keyloggers

I see no mention of this functionality being fixed in the release notes though.

The rumor in the mill is that RU6 MP2 fixes these . . . . true? Any documentation you can point me to would be great?

If they aren't fixed, any timeframe on when?

Here are the only 64bit changes or fixes included in MP2.

I bet most of those features listed has to wait till Amber release around mid of this year.
