  • 1.  SEP RU7 Conflicts with Cisco VPN client ( Error 5 No hostname found )

    Hi All,

    I need some help here as my company rolled out SEP RU7 recently we have been facing difficulties connecting CISCO VPN  client. VPN client hangs on securing communication channel. Error message ( Error 5 no hostname found ). We have tried to reimport the vpn certs into the profile but when we try to connect it hangs at securing communication channel. When we try to uninstall the SEP RU7 Cisco VPN works. I need some advise on how i can solve this issue asap. As we are affected on a major scale here. We are running on Vista 32bit. Thanks in advance.

    The link I provided contains the procedures and rules for the SEP Firwall policy.

    You can check that with the existing rules applied to your clients. There is a default rule there for Cisco.
