  • 1.  SEP SBE 12.0 and windows 7 BSOD

I am seeing a blue screen of death on boot for nearly fresh installs of Windows 7 Professional after installing SEP SBE version 12.0

Within 20 seconds of login I get a BSOD with an error for teefer2.sys and reboots, causing a rebooting cycle

I've seen this on about 30% of the laptops I've installed this way.

    Installed in this order:
    Windows 7 Professional
    MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
MS updates for Windows and MS Office
    SEP small business eidition 12.0

All windows updates and office updates applied as of 1/5/2010

    Any help is appreciated.

I would suggest  opening a case with support. Plan on providing a full dump to the TSE, so that engineering can find root cause of the BSOD.
Please keep us updated here in the forums, so that other users in the future may be helped by your issue.

Are you sure you are on the latest version of SEP SBE?  The initial release was NOT Win7 compat, and the newer build is.  It's like 12.0 RU1, build 12.0.1001 or something...  You can download it from fileconnect.symantec.com
