    Posted Aug 05, 2016 05:27 AM

    Hi,

Can anyone help me with belo.

Points for SBE 2013 (cloud model):

Can we get all the existing antivirus features in cloud model (SBE 2013)?

Can we block hardware devices unlike in SEP on prem

Can we install antivirus agents on Virtual Servers?

Can we use SBE 2013 in more than 250 computers as I have observed it is applicable for 250 users?

    Appreciate any help

except for few settings and features, yes you have all features alike.

Difference between Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, Symantec Endpoint Protection SBE 2013 and Symantec Protection Suite SBE

Can we block hardware devices unlike in SEP on prem ?

you don't have the ability to block all the devices. but you can block USB if that's what you are looking for.

Can we install antivirus agents on Virtual Servers?

yes, but you won't get the additional features like SIC, VIEtool or SVA in SBE 2013.

Can we use SBE 2013 in more than 250 computers as I have observed it is applicable for 250 users?

technically Yes, but if you are  going to have more that 250 I would recommend an on premise version for its added features.

No, you won't get the same as SEP Enterprise. You get AV, IPS, firewall, SONAR, download intelligence, browser protection, and USB device control.

Can we block hardware devices unlike in SEP on prem

    USB only.

Can we install antivirus agents on Virtual Servers?

You can but you don't get the virtual support like you did in SEP Enterprise

Can we use SBE 2013 in more than 250 computers as I have observed it is applicable for 250 users?

Yes. It's ideal for 250 or less users but nothing is keeping you from managing more.

If you have the on-prem solution they should get content from it otherwise it would be a manual update.

There is an option for local update service what does that do. unlike we have GUP in SEP .

Yes, very similar. You designate a host to retrieve content updates from the Internet to then distribute to your clients.

local update service will provide definitions updates but to receive policy update internet connection is must because hosted endpoint provides policy update.
