SEP On Server 2008

While installing SEP client on a 2008 server the install backs off and doesn't install.

Any ideas?

What version SEP are you

What version SEP are you installing?

Can you post the SEP_INST.log 
from start - run - %temp%\SEP_INST.log
Search for Return Value 3 and post the 10 lines above the return value 3

Navigate to

Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\  and reanme PendingFileRenameOperations to PendingFileRenameOperations2

once done , Run the install again

hi

follow this document, rename reboot key and try running the install.

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 11 client installation fails with the message "Pending system changes that require a reboot have been detected"

This still does not work.

This still does not work. Install continues to roll back and not install.

 Install liveupdate

 Install liveupdate (lusetup.exe )first then Install SEP.
you can install liveupdate from either export non-single exe package or from CD1\SEP\lusetup.exe
