I know that SEP 12 supports SQL 2012 but our DBAs are asking if SEP will support its SQL database being configured for Always On.

    Anybody know?

It can't natively failover between two DBs but review this article as it provides an alternative method.

"An alternative method is that the customer uses an Availability Group Listener for SQL which will give a virtual network name (VNN), virtual IP (VIP), this VIP or VNN can be used to configure the SEPM database. The Availability Group Listener will ensure that it connects to the correct SQL database."

This describes exactly what SQL 2012 Always On is.  Perfect!
