  • 1.  SEP on Surface tablet with Windows 8.1

    Hi all,

is it possible to install SEP 12.1 RU5 and its features on Surface tabled equipped with Windows 8.1?

I think that this is possible because the only important fact is the OS and this is supported but... just to be sure.

I need antimalware, personal firewall component end host ips component.

In addition, I'd like to apply some "white list" to the instaleld application in order not to permit other apps to be installed.

Is it possible to do this (with, just to say, host integrity, white list or so on)?

    Thanks

Yes it is and it's fully supported. It's really no different than a regular workstation.

I have SEP 12.1.5 running on many of these.

    Hi diabolicus23,

If that Surface is running Win 8.1, SEP 12.1.5 is fully supported.  If the Surface is running Windows RT, like the early Surface tablets, then SEP will not work.

    I agree with Mick.

I have just installed on my Tablet with Win 8.1 machine and it has been installed with full feature set.
