I'm new to SEP. Unfortunately I must administer a new SEP installation without knowing anything about it before hand. Is there some books or other documentation I can get ahold of to familiarize myself with this product? I see there Symantec offers a training course, but I am looking for a SEP unleashed or something like that. Does anything exist?
The training courses are "unleashed." There is none better than those trainers. I've been to the class, and what you learn and the books you leave with are invaluable. Those books alone are GOLD!
Outside of that, there are a number of videos in the support site you can use for deployment and simple installation, there is a subscription training service that is pretty inexpensive (a couple hundred a year per person), and this forum.

In the DVD file for SEP there is a "Documentation" folder. You'll find more information on the product than you'll ever want in there.
I recommend the training. I was pretty much lost until I went to training.
You need to go to training. You will get the books and documentation as well as hands on in the lab. You can't go wrong there.
The Admin and then installtion guide in the DVD/Documentation folder would be helpful
Also, go through some videos in the forum..in the Vidoes section....
