    Hi everyone,

    I would like your help,

    In my company we have some machines that are no upgrading from version 11 to version 12.

    I found the error in the SIS_INSTALL.LOG, from machines that are not install:

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.080Z DEBUG I SIS VALUE_DATA=[0]

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.096Z INFO I SIS Creating registry hive for "SOFTWARE\SYMANTEC\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV".

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.096Z ERROR I SIS openKeyImpl() failed in thal::RegistryEnumKey() status: 0xC0000034 = Object Name not found.

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.096Z ERROR I SIS

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.096Z ERROR I SIS This action failed to execute! Dumping action paramters from the script:

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.096Z ERROR I SIS SrcKey=[HKLM\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LanDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion]

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.096Z ERROR I SIS DestKey=[HKLM\SOFTWARE\SYMANTEC\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV]

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.096Z ERROR I SIS Exists=[Overwrite]

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.096Z ERROR I SIS WOW64=[32]

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.096Z INFO I SIS ExecuteScript() - Successfully set failure event.

    2012-11-06T10:57:39.096Z INFO I SIS ExecuteScript() returning ACTION_FAILED_WITH_ROLLBACK

    What I can do to fix that?

    Thank you!

    Go to Start >> Run and type %temp%

    Look for the file called SEP_INST.log and open up and search for "return value 3"

    Copy about 20-25 lines above and paste here. That should contain the error as to what is happening.
