  • 1.  SEP v12.1.4 Will Not Install

    I am trying to install SEP v12.1.4 on a Windows 8 PC and it is not working.  I was hoping someone here could help me out figuring out what is wrong.  I have disabled Windows Defender.  The SEP_INST.log file is attached.

    Can you also post the SIS_INST.log?

    What logs do I need to gather in order to troubleshoot a failed SEP 12.1 client installation?

    Also, verify if its the root cert issue, you can read thru these:

    Have you try cleanwipe tool before installing sep client ?

    Are you trying to install Local admin account user ?

    So it looks like I had a corrupt install file.  I downloaded it again and it installed fine.  Thanks for the help anyway.

    Error :

    Which is Root certificate issue as mentioned above.

    Update the KB 931125

    I tired this for Win XP, 7 and 8 got it fixed.
