Now that we are all aware that April 1, 2009 is the trigger date for whatever it is that the Conficker.C/Downadup.C virus has in store, I wanted to check to make sure that my SEP was able to identify this virus should it get into my network, so I went ahead and checked the Virus Threat List of definition Monday, March 30, 2009 r49, and I did not see any reference to the Conficker.C/Downadup.C virus within the over 74,000+ viruses listed.

    Should I be concerned??

    Update:

Just to let you know, I went back in and searched for the virus, as W32 and found all variants listed as W32.Downadup.

I guess I have to remember that the popular name of a virus is not necessarily the antivirus definition name. Sorry for the misleading post.
