    Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to prepare a Weekly report for my clients. Any ideas are welcome.

For example, If i have the raw CSV data pulled form computer status, how can I use it to prepare a weekly report.

If you have any that you use in your environment, please suggest some ideas.

We use pivot tables. Do you know all the data you want on it?

    Hi,

There are pre configure scheduled reports & notifications are available. However you can construct custom filters by using the Basic Settings and Advanced Settings to change the information that you want to see. You can save your filter settings to the database so that you can generate the same view again in the future. When you save your settings, they are saved in the database. The name you give to the filter appears in the Use a saved filter list box for that type of logs and reports.

You'll want show something like total threats detected and total threats remediated. Would probably show this for auto protect, sonar, and download insight. In addition, for IPS you can show total attacks detected versus what was blocked. It's all about telling the story about SEP in your environment :)

Right. That should do. If I want to build my report, how can I start? You mentioned something about Pivots.. How does that work? I can play with excel..

Well you'll need to pull a couple reports.

The best ones may be under Risk for Report Type. Look at these:

    Risk Distribution by Protection Technology
    Action Summary for Top Risks

You can take the info from each and drop into Excel on one tab.

On another tab is where you can do your pivot table selecting a couple rows of data and just manipulating it to get what you need.

That was public document however been expired recenlty. Sorry I was not aware of that.

With referece to your next query, you can get Symantec Endpoint Protection Weekly status, but you won't get total infected, total infected will be combination of newly infected + still infected.

Even on the home page dashboard there is nothing specific like total infected becaue it's divided into multiple options like below.
