I've installed SEPM 12.1 on an environment. There are some windows 2000 server on the network. SEP 12.1 is not supported on windows 2000. What can I do to protect windows 2000 servers? Should I install sep 11.x on those server and manage them with SEPM 12.1 ?

You can create SEP 11.x package through SEPM 12.1

SEP 12.1 cannot be installed on this unsupported Windows 2000 OS, Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 can successfully protect Windows 2000 computers until they have been retired from the organization.

For such circumstances, a legacy SEP 11 client is included in the SEP 12.1 DVD .iso. ("SAVLegacy32.dat" in SEPM\AdditionalPackages)

SEP 11 clients can successfully be managed by a SEP 12.1 Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM).  A sylink.xml file from the desired SEP 12.1 client group can be imported ("dropped" or "replaced") on the SEP 11 client, enabling it to receive policies, definitions and other necessary communications from the SEPM.
