    Hi All,

due to suspected memory leak issues on our Server 2008 Datacentre Server, I uninstalled SEP client and restarted the server. Now I cannot re-install the client as it says that it has detected changes which require a restart before the installer can continue.

I have restarted the server several times now and get the same problem. Any ideas how I can get it installed?

    Please follow this work around

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 11 client installation fails with the message "Pending system changes that require a reboot have been detected"

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2007121609023348

delete the pending file rename key on the right hand side of sessions manager.

if the above does not work, install it as unmanged and make it managed by copying the sylink file

How to change a Symantec Endpoint Protection client from unmanaged to managed in MR1 and MR2.
