This issue has been solved. See solution.

I need to know if changing the IP address on a SEP11 RU6 client causes any problem in the console, etc. Is there any special task that needs to be done if the IP address changes on a client?
Thanks!

NO..The Client will

NO..The Client will re-register the new IP with the manager..Its the client who initiates the connection between manager and client..

So it won't affect the communication

No if the name remains the

No if the name remains the same & only the IP is changing then there is not much to do.
but if you are chnaging the name & the IP then the SEPM will show a new client in the netwok.

So if you have 5 clinets the SEPM will show 6 for time being.
