How to migrate SEPM11 client to the SEPM12 console

I had used ClientRemote tools to push the install packages to the SEP11 clients , and it prompt the push has been completed, but even i restart the client os , it's always in the SEPM11 console
 

how to solve it ,is there other way to migrate clients?

You first need to migrate the SEPM console, then you create the package then you push the package to clients, may be the push was successful but the installation on the clinet failed.

please post the sep_inst.log found under temp directory of the client

Total how many clients are there in the network?

If your SEPM is at 12.1, than use the auto upgrade feature to move the 11.x clients.

it's a fresh install of SEPM12 , i want to migrate clients to the SEPM12 console  . they are running in a test environment , if this migration succeed ,   i will be doing in the physical environment

Than you can simply push a install package from the new 12.1 SEPM to the 11.x clients using the migration and deployment wizard. See here:

That will work as well, provided you have a list of known clients you want to deploy to.

The migration and deployment wizard is a little nicer in that it will automatically search for clients and find them, giving you the option to than push the installs to them.

yeah  ，i used it

So the client didn't upgrade or it did, but is still reporting to the 11.x SEPM?

yes , i can find it in the 11.X SEMP console and it's working normally.

its vision is 11.x

So it sounds like the upgrade was uinsuccessful.

On the client, navigate to the %temp% directory and look for the SEP_INST.log file and post it here for review. This should tell us why it failed.

What is the client OS and version of SEP you're trying to install?

client os is XP , and its SEP version is 11.x  ,

i want to push the 12.x packages

SEp install is a two step process, first you push the package from SEPM. the package gets copied to the temp drive on the target machine and it would start the install.

From your comments it seems that the package was pushed successfully however the installation is getting rolled back. how many clients do you have in your network? on every failed machine u will see the sep_inst.log file under c:\temp or windows temp folder. please check the logs and look for return value 3. Please post the logs here.  Have you tried running the package manually? have you upgraded your sepm to 12?

Try to install locally on one of the system check if get any success.

New SEPM is also installed in the same network? Having same hostname and IP address?

Make sure to perform reboot after the new package deployement on SEP 11 clients.

and display the version is 12.X .  i must use the tools in part2 sylinkdrop to change the .XML
document, then it will be found in the new SEPM12 console

so , how to

To replace Sylink.xml file on multiple computers in one go you can use Sylink replacer tool.

There is a special tool for SEP 12.1.

You need to contact support to download the tool.

No...You will have to use this tool only once.

It will change Sylink.xml file remotely on 300 machines in one go.

If you have SEP 11.x clients be sure you're using the Sylink Replacer for 11.x, and not the one for 12.1.

For SEP 11.x client, download the SylinkReplacer Utility from :
