We have SEP 11.7 and clients also SEP 11.7 they did not detect virus "Slenfboot.GenID" while microsoft security essential detect and thse infected PC causing traffic on Internet. I have attached screen shot file

You need to submit the sample to security response

You can also try scanning with SEP Power Eraser

Please click the "Mark as solution" link at bottom left on the post that best answers your question. This will benefit admins looking for a solution to the same problem.

Hi Golani,

"Thumbs up" to the above advice.  See what Symantec's analysis of that file is.  It could very well be a False Positive by another vendor.

I also recommend performing a full system scan with the latest definitions. Don't rely upon Auto-Protect alone.
