  • 1.  SEP12.1 Insight data on clients

When I first run a full scan on a newly installed 12.1 client it takes around 1h10min and it scans around 1.1billion files. As expected I guess.

If I then run a second scan directly after it is reduced to 16min and 110.000 files. Well done. Insight seems to work.

If I wait for another week before trying to do another full scan, then I´m back to the first result again, 1h10min and 1.1billion files.

Now, we have weekly scheduled custom scans on all clients across the network, and my question is what can I do to leverage File Insight to "remember" what it can trust for a whole week or longer?

It would as you can imagine greatly improve the scheduled scans and also reduce the amount of irritation that a one hour of performance hogging is creating with the users.

i believe this has to with the definition on the SEP client. If you run after few hours with same set of definition, the number taken will be less. But with new dfinition it will bit longer.
