SEP12.1 RU1 MP1 Registry Permission Problem

This issue has been solved. See solution.

The whole HKLM\Software\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection is proteced.

Its impossible to change ownership and adjust permissions too.

Only the components "Virus and Spyware Protection" and "Proactive Threat Protection" are installed

Why would you want to make registry chnages?

Its a 2008R2

To follow the Symantec recommondations for the use in a Citrix environment

This is given even more forceful with the Tamper Protection in 12 than it was actually in 11.

Normally you should see these as violations in the tamper protection log, when you block and log.

in case just disable the tamper protection via General Settings -> Tamper Protection -> remove the flag for the protection temporary.
