We are currently in the mid-late stages of our company-wide antivirus review (replacement).
We are currently trialling Symantec's Endpoint Protection.cloud, along with 2 other hosted/SaaS products.
I have a couple of questions regarding the product:
1. I have noticed on a couple of clients that the performance alerts appear, with the option of modifying when/why the notifications are received. The option to modify these settings only appears to be available WHEN a performance alert appears, not through any menu option on the client?
2. I did notice that if a PC user is non-admin, then they are blocked from changing those settings. Also, if an admin user attempts to disable a feature (e.g. AntiSpyware), at first it appears disabled, but then re-enables itself. I assume the option "User can disable Antivirus" would allow the temporary disabling to take place?
Also, does anyone have any general feedback about the SEP.cloud product? I'd be grateful for any positive (or constructively critical) comments.
