  • 1.  SEP.cloud on-premise manager question: how does this agent get updated?

    Posted Oct 10, 2014 02:53 PM

With the recent notice that Endpoint security was going from 20.4.0.40 to 21.5.0.19, I just realized I don't know the anser to the question: How does the on-premise version get updated (since it was a stand-alone download)?

    Thanks!

By default, new Agents are automatically confirmed into your account. If your
Account Administrator disabled Auto-confirm new agents in your organization's
settings, new Agents must be confirmed before they become active.

    Brian,

    I guess I wasn't clear.

If I pull down the Computer Summary report, there is a column labeled, Endpoint Security Version.

For the normal cloud desktop agents, this is what is being automatically migrated from nis-20.4.0.40 to nis-21.5.0.19.

However, the on-premise managed clients are at version sep-12.1.2015.2015.

These are on servers and I am wondering if they are updated automatically or if I have to pull down a file from FileConnect to update them.
