  • 1.  SEPM 11.0.4 unable to apply policy to 11.0.5002.333 client

    I have installed some 11.0.5002.333 clients on a windows 7 64 bit computers. But i am unable to apply USB blocking policy on this through the SEPM version 11.0.4202.75 .Please advice a solution. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    In Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 Application and Device Control is not a supported feature for 64 bit clients.

    Symantec has released Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 with support for application and Device control on 64-bit platforms.

    In Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 Application and Device Control are supported features for 64 bit clients.

    Is it possible to install client as 12.1 and control through the same SEPM ver 11x or SEPM also needs to be new version

    The SEPM 12.1 can handle SEP 11 clients, not the other way.
