  • 1.  SEPM 11.x Live update Error Code 1835

    Error: "LU1835: Connection to the LiveUpdate server failed" received when i have run live update on SEPM 11.0.7400.1398.

     

     

    SEPM Version : 11.0.7400.1398

    I have follow below articles but problem not solved.

    And you have it configured thru your firewall?

    How to determine whether your firewall is blocking LiveUpdate

    What changed? When did this start?

    Yes We are using Proxy server.

    What changed? When did this start?

    Yesterday we have upgrade our SEPM OS 2003 to 2008,

    So we have install fresh SEPM, Before Live update working fine.

    I have reinstall Live update version LUSETUP_3_3_2_2.exe.

    Received below error.

    LU1825: LiveUpdate could not understand how to install this update. You may need to get the latest version of LiveUpdate before you can install this update. Click here for more information on this error

    Hi,

    If you want Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager to go through a proxy server to connect to the Internet, you must configure Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager to connect to the proxy server. A proxy server can add a layer of security because only the proxy server is connected directly to the Internet.

    To configure Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager to connect to a proxy server to access the Internet and download content from Symantec LiveUpdate

    Manually register SEPM with the liveupdate.

    To register SEPM with LiveUpdate:

    Click Start, then Run.
    Type cmd, then click OK. This will bring up a command prompt.
    At the command prompt type cd and the path to lucatalog.exe. By default the command would be: 

    cd C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin

    Enter the following:
    On SEP 12.1 lucatalog.exe -forcedupdate

    Also can try to update SEPM manually using .JDB file and see if subsequent updates does take place automatically or not.

    Problem Solved after follow TECH 102609 articles http://TECH102609 and disabled UAC.
