I have rolled out version 12 to 8 PCs, and it seems that when I visit their desk I see the symantec icon indicating an issue, and find that antivirus and other options are not enabled.  I click on Fix Now and it is enabled.  what is causing this, and how can I prevent it?

Users?

Hi,

Silly question but worth asking; are you sure SEP is tampered with by the users?

I would suggest to add password protection to the clients.

Cheers

I would recommend locking

I would recommend locking down your AV/AS policy in the SEPM. You will see many padlocks next to each option within the policy, make sure you click and lock the padlock next to each option.

Below is further documentation regarding locking policies.
