  • 1.  SEPM 12 Shows IPS, Sonar, Download Protection as out of date

    Posted Jan 11, 2012 07:00 PM

Hello, Currently all of our clients are showing as out of date for IPS, Sonar and Download Protection however they are at the correct revisions according to SEPM's Liveupdate status, as well as Symantec's (http://www.symantec.com/business/security_response/definitions.jsp?width=750&height=750&left=0&top=0).

    This is shown below:

(click image link below to see full sized image)

    and:

The only odd thing I can see there is that it shows the IP address as 192.168.6.255, not the actual IP of 192.168.6.55 (eg). Does this make a difference?

I am happy that the clients are at the correct versions and are receiving the updates correctly, however why are they showing out of date?

    Thanks for the assistance.

    change the date format

To Modify the date format used by the SEPM:

    1. Log into the SEPM Console
    2. Click the Preferences link In the  Security Status section on the SEPM Home tab
    3. Select the Logs and Reports tab
    4. Select DDMMYY from the Date format combo box
    5. Click the OK button to close the Preferences page
    6. The changes to these settings may take a few minutes to take effect.

    check the article

Thanks for that Pete, it pointed me in the right direction.

I think the article (and your post) is incorrect, as the combo box already showed DDMMYY, however I changed this to MMDDYY and it is now showing the clients as up-to-date (We are in Australia - systems are already set for DDMMYY)

    Thanks
