  • 1.  SEPM 12.1 - Migrate from Server 2003 (x86) to Server 2008 (x64)

    Hi guys,

I have SEPM 12.1 installed on a Server 2003 R2 (x86) which working fine. I want to migrate our existing SEPM 12.1 from Server 2003 to a VM Server 2008 (x64).

As the current install is on a x86 platform and I want to migrate it to a x64 VM platform - what is the best practice you can advise on how to perform this particular migration?

How do you point the clients to see the new SEPM console once this has been migrated successfully? Is this something that can be done from the management console (pushing out definitions)?

    Thanks.

    Mo.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your query.

32 bit or 64 bit platform should not be a concern, SEPM can be installed/moved to any platform.

Please go through the following article & I believe it will help you.

Hot to move SEPM from one server to another server.
