  • 1.  SEPM 12.1.2 will not browse network for pushing clients

    ​Dear  All,

    I am using  Symantec 12.1.2  in our  organisation   recently  i  am sifting   SEPM to  windows 2008 R2 and  and working   fine  but  recently  i  try  to  deploy   new  few  clients  in  one of our  department  throug  remotly  SEPM  cant  browse  the   network   all  the  clents  and  SPEM  are in  same  domain. but  i   got the  ping to  all  PCs  from  the  SEPM  installed server  and the  communication  to  exsting clients are  good  only  problem  for new deployment.

    What is the issue issue while deploying, it display any meesage?

    follow the steps from this link

    To Enable the  "Computer Browser" service, follow the steps below:

    1) Click on "Start"

    2) Click on "Run"

    3) Type "services.msc" (without quotes) and click on OK

    4) Browse to "Computer Browser"

    5) Right click on "Computer Browser" and click on Properties.

    6) Change Startup Type to "Automatic"

    7) Click on Start.

    8) Click on OK

    9) Browse to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Services

    10) Restart the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Services

    Login to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and run the Client Deployment Wizard.

    If the above steps do not help, work on the steps provided in the Article below:

    check the computer browser service, it should be started 

    and also on your server you should be able to browse the network neighbourhood, are you able to do that?

    Hi,

    check using admin share if it is enable then you should be able to deploy.

    Hi,

    i  can  browse all  the  network  computer  from  the  server, also  check  the  computer  broswer  service,  that  is   also  enable....  get ping  to  computers  which  i  want to  deploy.....i  am  using the  AD administrator  login  credentials  for  server.    but  no  use....

    This SEPM is on windows8 or you are using Webconsole?

    check it running from the tools folder

    as per this document, does the systems show up if you run clientremote.exe?
