  • 1.  SEPM 12.1.4 - LiveUpdate not running on a schedule

    I noticed over the last few days or so that our single SEPM 12.1.4 manager is not running LU on a schedule.  After a few days, clients report they are not up-to-date.  If I go to the console, and manually run LU, it all runs fine.  On the Home Page, the Latest on Manager gets in sync with Symantec.

    So, can someone please let me know how to double check the correct settings and how to troubleshoot the SEPM NOT going out to Symantec to download the latest data?

    Can you post the log.liveupdate folder?

    To doublecheck the setting go to Admin >> Servers >> select your site and Edit Site Properties, check the LiveUpdate tab

    Attached is the Log.Liveupdate file compressed.  Thank you for your help.  I checked the LiveUpdate tab in the Site Properties and all looks good.

    The LiveUpdate session ran in Silent Mode. LiveUpdate found 16 updates available, of which 16 were installed and 0 failed to install.  The LiveUpdate session exited with a return code of 1800

    You might have just seen the manual LU I ran from the console's Home Page.

    I did check the article and the settings are set correctly on the LiveUpdate Content tab.

    Any other ideas?

    I turned on FINEST, restarted the SEPM service.  It has been running this way for about an hour.  I ran collectlog.cmd and attached are the results.

    Are you using any kind of proxy? Is your SEPM on SQL DB?

    Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11.x is not updating 32 or 64 bit virus definitions.

    I am able to close this thread.  After calling tech support, they had me (as one of the steps to try) run the 'Updatedbtime.bat' script in the Tools folder.  After about 18 hours, that seems to have done it.
