  • 1.  SEPM 12.1.41 to SEPM 12.1.6318.61 What has changed?

    Posted Sep 09, 2015 05:43 AM

    Hi All,

So I recently did an upgrade from SEPM 12.1.41 to SEPM 12.1.6318.61

There were several issues both with upgrading the server which I managed to resolved and the clients deployment that I have parialy resolved. The server client used is full protection for servers. This was used in the previous version and I had no issues. However once the client had been updated there have been multiple issues. such as RDP not working (Firewall change made to resolve this) and several applications on various servers not functioning.

So my question is what has changed from 12.1.41 to the current version. I have even had access to the platform dropped due to the SEP client blocking RSA authentication.

    Many thanks

    Hi,

Ideally when the SEPM upgrade takes place, all the policies remains intact. You upgraded to the latest version i.e. SEP 12.1 RU6 MP1a.

It's a good news that you could sort out reported issues after an upgrade, however if still faced any issue please contact support.

Latest version of SEP has support for the most recent OS i.e. Windows 10 also it has advanced features like Disk space optimization feature, Host Integrity etc . Many new features are there & are briefly listed here: http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO101888
