  • 1.  SEPM 12.1.5 client virus definitions not showing

    Posted Nov 18, 2014 06:16 AM

    Hi,

Since I upgraded my SEPManager and Windows clients to 12.1.5 the virus definitions are not reported to the manager.

When I check the SEP-client on the workstations, I see it is updating correctly, but it is not reporting to the manager.

I've searched the forums for information, but I could not find it.

    SymHelp doen't report any issues.

I will continue to investigate myself, but tips are welcome :)

    Kind regards,

    Roel

How often do they heartbeat in? Try to force a check in and it should update accordingly in SEPM.

Have seem many such issues after upgrading to 12.1.5.

Move all those clients to different group give it some time and put them back, it will update

    Hi,

Could you restart smc service on 2-3 client machines?

Also create a new group and assign new policy to it, move all those clients in the same group.

Unfortunatly I could not solve the problem with your suggestions. I tried to repair the SEPM install, but that also didn't work. Uninstall and reinstall of the SEPM solved the problem. Using the Server Private Key Backup, the reinstall was easy to do.

It's the easy way out, but also the quickest.

    Thanks for the input.

    Kind regards,
