  • 1.  SEPM 12.1.5 HTTPD Service utilize 100 % Network in windows server 2008

    HTTPD service utilize 100 % Network in symantec12.1.5.  Because of that server becomes very slow to access & Some client not updates defination automatically. Pl. provide solution to resolve the issue.

    Is this constant or only during updates? What are the hardware specs of the SEPM?

    It's a constant. After Few hours it normal.

    Is content being updated? What are the hardware specs of the SEPM?

    Yes, Content being updated.

    Hardware Spec : HP Work station Z620

                             8 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, Xeon 11 Core Processor.

    It could be caused by content updates. Do you have an active scan setup to run after new defs arrive and to scan the quarantine?

    yes. Active scan policy applied on Client.

    When this problem heappen on that time any schedule is running on server???
    like - definition update, client scanning


    try to turn off Active Scan when new definitions arrive

    if any schedule has been fixed on that time please modify the schedule time at non peak hour and verify the problem is continuously or not.
