Endpoint Protection

Doing the SEPM 12.1.6 upgrade from 12.1.5.
Live Update is still running after 3 hours so the upgrade is stalled there.

Last entry is "Installation SEPM Iron Settings 12.1 RU6 (1 of 1) complete

How do I get past this? Or does this take a really long time?!?

3 hours seems excessive.
 

Do you remember how many content revisions were kept?

No

The installation is at "Starting Symantec Endpoint Protection Manageer service... Done" then into Live Update.

Is there any errors in scm-server-0.log or log.lue files?

If all else fails I'll load the image and start over.

I've seen it take awhile, 3 hours is excessive but if you don't have any errors, I'd let it run. Of course the other option would be to uncheck the option to run LiveUpdate after the upgrade completes

Well, there are a lot of "errors" in the cm-server-0.log that look like installation waiting for and starting services...

Clients are connecting to SEPM!

SEPM opens & looks normal!
Maybe If I can just end LU? Don't think I can just do that in Task Manager.

Yea if nothing else you can reboot it. See what happens with LU when it comes back up.

I killed the LU process. Seems it was completed as the defs are OK and up to date.

We'll see if SEPM updates properly. All clients are connected.
