SEPM 12.1RU1 MP1 issue

    HI,

     

    Recently I have installed SEPM 12.1 RU1 MP1 and restore backup from 11 SEPM backup file

    Everything is working fine. Expect reporting and monitor logs. It’s not showing any logs and report while I pull the report or log from SEPM server.

    Please share your opinion.

    did you restart the server?

    how many clients are reporting?

    thanks for replay ..

    yes i have restart server ...

    1700 clients reporting...

    hope there is filter ( in advance settings)?

    Hi,

    iwhen i try to pull the same reports from home page from favorite reports, i get it but issue with reports and moniter tab..what was the resone behand in that,,,

    Hi Revenge,

    You have to know that the restore of a backup from a SEPM 11.x to a SEPM 12.x is not supported because of the database schema modifications between the two product versions.

    The below article confirms it:

    Using 11.x disaster recovery files with Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 12.1

    I would suggest you to reinstall a new SEPM 11.x, restore your backup and then only upgrade to 12.1 or only use you text file as "backup" in a new SEPM 121.

    definetly it is not supported :-) install SEPM to version RU 7 the DB backup you had taken restore than upgrade to SEPM 12.1 RU 1

    If you have any Symantec link or documents which mention backup from a SEPM 11.x to a SEPM 12.x is not supported..

    So I can forward to same link or documents to my team.

    It is not possible to directly restore an 11.0 backup on a 12.1 system - the recommended steps are to restore on a new 11.0 SEPM install, then upgrade to 12.1.
