HI, Are you accessing SEPM

HI,

Are you accessing SEPM using SEPM authentication or AD authentication?.

If SEPM authentication you can excute resetpass.bat

Windows 2003 :

Located under Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools\

Windows 2008:

Located under Program Files (x86) \Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools\

Enter User name and password as admin.

You will get prompt to change password.

Note:

Try to excute the resetpass.bat through command prompt as adminstrator if it not works in normal excution.

Thanks In Advance

Could you please upload the

Could you please upload the scm-server-0.log and catalina.out file from \program files\Symantec\symantec endpoint protection manager\tomcat\logs

Check Database services are running or not ?

Try to this ...

These errors indicates that it can be a problem with the database. Please try these steps:

  1. Stop  Symantec Embeded Database and Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Services in the services.msc

  2. Go to "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db\" and rename sem5.log to sem5.log.old

  3. Click Start, click on Run and Type “CMD” then click OK

  4. In the Command Prompt type: "CD C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\ASA\win32\" and press Enter this will change directories to the folder containing dbsrv11.exe.

  5. Force the recreation of sem5.log. Type: dbsrv11 -f "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db\sem5.db" and press Enter

  6. Click Start, click on Run and Type “services.msc” then click OK and start the Symantec Embedded Database Service

  7. Start the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service.

  8. If it stays started then go ahead and log into the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and everything should now be working properly

  9. If the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service fails to start then run Management Server Configuration Wizard in order to log in to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.

If these steps will not help I am afraid that you should make the Disaster Recovery procedure without recovering the database.

Thanks In Advance
