 NO

SEP 11.0.XXX is different from SEP 12.0.XXXX ;

12.0..XXX is called Small and medium business SEP

for large enterprises SEP is preferred; 12 cannot manage 11 and vice versa.

are you sure??  The version 12 beta documentation ( version 12.1?) implies that there is an upgrade path from 11 to 12.  It appears the the version 12.1.601.4699 clients can connect to the sep11 manager, but I haven't had time to see how well this works yet.

Just to be clear, SEPM for 12.1 can manage SEP 11.x clients.  However, SEPM for 11.x cannot manage SEP 12.1 clients.

I am not sure about the beta version,But SEP 12.x (The newer version of endpoint protection  for which beta version is available now) can manage SEP 11 clients

Please don't forget to mark your thread solved with whatever answer helped you : ) Thanks & Regards Aravind

The same goes with SEP 12.0 SBE legacy clients: I have recently made some tests with migration from SBE to SEP12 beta, with largely positive effects.
