This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi

Anyone have seen this.

I have just installed the newest version of java 1.6.0_13

First time I opens the SEPM from my locale machine I seen this.

The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager cannot display some parts of the management console
because your computer runs one or more incompatible Java Runtime Environment (JRE) versions.
Please uninstall all incompatible JRE versions (1.6 update 10 and greater). Uninstall the remote
console, and then reinstall the remote console.

To use your existing JRE with limited console access, use Internet Explorer and enter the following URL:

Can it be that it is not possible to install the newest version?!

hi,
you can use only java 6 update 4, this is for remote console on SEPm, may be it holds good for the system on SEPM is installed.

Note: Please do not upgrade to Java 6 beyond update 7

Cheers

Pete!

Hi Pete

Thanks for the info.

But this really sucks, so basicly it is not possible or rather not a god idea to use your client pc as a entry to SEPM, if you can't have the latest java installed.
