This issue has been solved. See solution.

Morning all,

I installed the Trialware of SEPM together with Mail Security for Domino v8 with Premium AntiSpam over the weekend in an SMB a friend of mine owns. How do I check that LiveUpdate is working properly? Also how often does SMSDOM check the definitions on Endpoint Manager and update itself? Or does it simply use the same database (ie when LiveUpdate runs it updates one central database that both Endpoint Manager and SMSDOM use)? Also how often does Endpoint Manager push the latest definitions out to the clients?

Many thanks
Jon

Also how often does Endpoint Manager push the latest definitions out to the clients?
its based on the configuration /heartbeat, if it is push mode, clients checks continously if it is pull mode its based on heartbeat interval.

Pete!

Also, if the client server

Also, if the client server communication is set to be in Push mode, whenever SEPM has any new info available for the clients [ e.g. policy, content ] it will cut down all of its exisitng connection with the SEP clients. It will make the clients to find the parent server using the information provided in Sylink.xml file.

Cheers,
Aniket
