  • 1.  SEPM behind a natted/public address

    Posted Oct 16, 2009 12:53 AM
    Hi all,

I need some advice. How can clients reach/communicate with SEPM when this latter is using a NATted IP address : say the real address of SEPM is 192.168.x.x but it is reachable only through 172.16.x.x.

I think of something like : editing directly sylink.xml and replace the IP address before deploying clients but is it safe to do so ? Or is there an another way to solve this problem ?

    Thanks in advance

I not sure.. but try this...

First install the server with 17.X.X.X series... then install few clients and connect to SEP.

After that change the server IP t o192.X.X.X series.. If sepm service doesn't start reconfigure the management server....

Now try whether Clients are able to reach....  ?
