  • 1.  SEPM - can one client or server scan a computer without the client installed?

We have SEPM 12.1.2.  We have a unit that is having difficulties running the client along with custom software.  We would like to be able to remove the client until a solution is in place (this is being done separately and directly with Symantec. In the mean time we would like to be able to protect that computer by scanning it from a different unit, or the server.  Is this possible? How is it accomplished if it is possible?

You can map a share (C$) to the unit and create a custom scan using another SEP client to scan that share.

I noticed that method, it would require more than one mapping for me, but it would get the job accomplished.
