  • 1.  SEPM cannot detect malware

    Hi security expert,

    My end user experience where his SEP did not detecting the virus, malware i believe. call "Zibmbl'. if you guys don't mind to share with if you have experience this so called "Zibmbl", what is description about "Zibmbl", its impact and probably solution if this issue come out again. My user experience some auto shortcut been created. As for now i' m doing some work around for a while. thanks you guys for your time to read this!

    submit that file to https://www.virustotal.com and https://www.threatexpert.com to see what it comes back as and if symantec detects it...it might be considered potentially unwanted program (PUP)

    You can also submit the file directly to symantec for review here:

    http://www.symantec.com/security_response/submitsamples.jsp

    Also, run a threat analysis scan

     
    You may also want to look at the settings of your SEP client

    ok noted. It is good information for me. If you have experience on zibmbl. it is because after the user installed the zibmbl(third party software) only then he got the auto shortcut(malware). Client want to identify is it this third party software that causing the malware. thank you thank you for your time.
