SEPM Communication
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 7 comments
Greetings,
I'm curious how SEPM appears to be talking to my clients yet is not updating regularly with the current client information. My example is that all of my clients show the most current AV definition file but SEPM shows the clients as being about a week out of date. I have updated the sylink and all clients show (green dots) active communication with SEPM. Even last check-in on each client shows current date and time.
What would cause SEPM to show updated info in one area but not others?
Thanks

Hi
How you have configured the liveupdate to get it from the manager or clients take from liveupdate.

make sure your SEPM has the latest defs.
Whats the version of SEPM you are running?

Well I'm not sure how or why
Well I'm not sure how or why but it seems to be working now. The only thing I really did was to go to each client (my clients are servers by the way...not user workstations) and have SEP pull the updated policy from the SEPM. After about 15 minutes SEPM seemed to update everything.
I seem to have inconsistant communications between SEPM and clients...not the first time this has happened.
Manager has current def as do clients.
Change Push mode to Pull mode
Change Push mode to Pull mode and increase the hearbeat interval to 10-15 minutes..May be bcoz of push mode some kind of bottleneck might be happening..

Ok..done. Do I leave Inherit
Ok..done. Do I leave Inherit policies and settings from parent group...unchecked?
If it unchecked then you will
If it unchecked then you will have to make the communication settings for each group.
