  • 1.  SEPM Console not accurate

    Posted Aug 11, 2011 10:26 AM

    Hi,

Some days ago, SEPM's console is reporting a lot of out-of-date clients, without any sense. I'm pasting below a partial report

showing that all clients are up to date, except one. Take into account that date is in dd/mm/yyyy format. I guess that this format

can be a clue, but it was always this way, and previously it was working fine.

On the latest version of SEPM?

    Would this be the problem?

    I guess that, it's 12.1.671.4971.

    Besides, it reports 1 as up-to-date, 14 out-of-date and 2 offline. The 14 out-of-date are  wrongly reported.

Licensing is ok. I'm pasting a screenshot. Here you can see "Windows definitions" are from today or yesterday,

and so virus definitions. However, I have most of clients as outdated.

I've found a clue. It reports IPS and Download Protection contents as outdated. If I set them as warn after 900 days, it's green again.

The problem is, both are not such outdated, but still show them as outdated. I think it has something to do with the date format.

Now, I've set regional settings to m/d/y, but the console still shows d/m/y in some screens. So I think it can be miscalculating with

dates, and thus it warns incorrectly.

But I don't know how to fix it !

In Console preferences, I've set date to m/d/y and that's it. Solved.

Oops, I just realized that I forgot to link to a URL when I posted.

    I meant to say...

Would this be the problem? and paste a link under that to this URL: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH164272

In "Security status", you have "Preferences/ Log and. reports"
